ZO® Ossential Stimulation Peel

This peel is suitable for most patients and can help with the following:

• Soften and rejuvenate sun damaged skin,
  
• Increase skin tolerance,
  
• Improve the appearance of age spots or freckles,
  
• Help with the appearance of hyperpigmentation,
  
• Soften fine lines and wrinkles,
  
• Stimulate the production of collagen,
  
• Exfoliate the skin.
  

The skin will appear smoother and fresher with a lovely glow! It is recommended to perform this peel before a big event as there is no downtime, and makes a huge difference to skin. The peel contains Salicylic acid, lactic acid and citric acid, these are AHA or Alpha Hydroxy acids – they dissolve dead skin cells and give a great exfoliation to the upper layers of the skin. The salicylic acid works on oily, acne prone skin, and the citric acid gaives the skin a healthy glow.

First the skin was cleansed using a beautiful cleanser in the ZO range, then the preparation product was applied to the skin, this is then followed by the Stimulator peel, that stays on the skin for 3-5 minutes – it is quite tolerable and quick. Then the peel is neutralised – this means that the skin Ph is restored to its natural balance – this is done using pads that are soaked in bicarbonate of soda, these pads neutralise the peel. After the peel a moisturising serum called ZO Ossential Daily Power Defence is applied and then finally SPF.

Immediately after the peel, the skin is very fresh and healthy looking and on the following day the make up applies really well and the skin is much softer. As there is no downtime, it is recommend having this peel done the day before a special event, as it gives your skin a really healthy glow! About two days after the peel the skin may be a little flaky, and then fresher skin becomes more apparent. It is recommended to have this peel done every two weeks for up to 4 to 6 treatments.
